This recipe shows you how to make the most heavenly glazed, sweet carrots to enjoy as a side dish with most main courses.
Glazed Sweet Carrots
- 4 large carrots peeled and sliced or jullienne style
- 2 tbsp white sugar
- pinch salt
- 1 tbsp butter
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
- 50 ml water
- Boil the carrots in water, salt added.
- After approximately 25 minutes when the carrots are tender, throw off excess water or boil faster to reduce water.
- Add sugar and butter.
- Simmer for 5 minutes or until carrots start caramelizing or getting a glazed appearance.
- Add cinnamon.
